Where: Curlew Rd/SR 586, 469-5942
What: Beach State Park
When: 8am to sunset
Who: Local and Tourist
How much: $5 park entrance per car/$3 single occupant
Comments: This was a disappointment for me. The beach is very rocky and shelly. There is no walking on the beach without shoes here. There are a select few areas with a decently wide beach, but most of it is too narrow to be picturesque. There are bath houses and a snack bar with an expensive (for what you're getting) and limited menu. The only reason I see to go here is the access ferry to Caledisi, which does have nice beaches. But this is expensive at $10 a person, after you've paid the park entrance fee. If you want the beach, Clearwater is a better bet.
